Avianca

At the Airport – Procedures for Boarding

Please, check out the rules for boarding

The passenger shall go to the Avianca service counter at the airport to check-in 1 (one) hour before scheduled takeoff time with his electronic ticket and a photo document that permits identifying and recognizing the passenger.

Presentation at Boarding Gate

By determination of the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), through Resolution no. 130, of December 8, 2009, starting March 1, 2010, all passengers who board at Brazilian airports must show the airline employee a photo-identification at the boarding gate for the aircraft. This measure is called a Positive Identification of the Passenger and it is already being practiced at airports in Europe and North America.

Our employees will compare the document with the boarding card to guarantee the passenger who accesses the aircraft is the same person as identified on the card.

Those passengers who check-in without baggage or only with hand baggage over the Internet or at the self-service totems will no longer be obliged to stamp their boarding cards at the airline counters and should go directly to the boarding gate 40 minutes before takeoff.
