Delayed Baggage

If you can't locate your baggage at the destination, please follow the instructions below:

  • 1)Immediately report your complaint to an Avianca's official in our counter before leaving the arrivals area of the airport.

  • 2)Formalize your complaint by filling out the RIB form (Baggage Irregularity Registration). For this, please have your boarding pass, baggage check receipt and official ID.

You will receive a written confirmation with a reference number. From this registration, we will search your baggage.

Attention: for your complaint to be valid, it must be done before leaving the arrivals area.


Monitoring the baggage's search process

You can monitor the search for your baggage by visiting our Online System for Baggage Tracking. For this, please use the reference number of your baggage process.



Damaged Baggage

If you receive your baggage damaged at your destination, please follow the instructions below:

  • 1)Immediately report your complaint to an Avianca's official in our counter before leaving the arrivals area of the airport.

  • 2)Formalize your complaint by filling out the RIB form (Baggage Irregularity Registration). For this, please have your boarding pass, baggage check receipt and official ID.

If you haven't done this before leaving the airport, you must communicate in writing as soon as you notice the damage within the time limit of 7 days from the arrival date through the email central.bagagem@avianca.com.br. All events will be examined in accordance with the current legislation.


Avianca Brasil is not responsible for any damage caused by the natural wear and tear of the baggage.
